Park Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was originally located on Bethel Street in Brighouse. The chapel was first established in 1795 and later rebuilt in 1876-78 with distinctive design features such as its Lombardic-style towers and gallery. It served as a major Wesleyan and later United Methodist Free Church, seating over 700 people, before closing in 1982.
The Chapel was subsequently used as an indoor market. More recently is has been converted into a J.D. Wetherspoon pub named The Richard Oastler retaining the original chapel design features.
